Srikandi

Srikandi was the only woman authorized to take part in Barathayuda War. In her once and only war, she defeated Bisma, one of the leading Kurawa warriors whom Pandawa found it hard to defeat. In fact, it was not srikandi who really killed him. It was Amba, a girl whose love was rejected by Bisma in his youth, who really killed Bisma. In her death, she had promised to kill Bisma, so they could go to heaven together. Her solu went into Srikandi who aimed her arrow at Bisma’s heart. Knowing that it was Amba who was Srikandi’s body, and to redeem for sins to Amba, Bisma let the arrows kill him.
